CORINTH VILLAGE, Umzimkhulu KwaZulu-Natal. Corinth is a Nguni rural village resided by AmaBhaca which are Ngunis under King Msingaphantsi son of King Mdutyana who was the son of King Madzikane the famous king of the AmaBhaca who reigned at the same time as Shaka Zulu. King Madzikane was the son of King Khalimeshe who was the descendent of King Zelemu from the geology of King Mnguni of Ntu. Corinth village is the original home to King Msingaphantsi before they moved the royal palace to Antioch village. Corinth is historical as it has some of the descendants of King Zelemu of King Lufulwenja and it is dominated by AmaBhaca surnames like Zulu Khalimeshe and Didi Vebi Wabane which are all descendants of King Lufulwenja. Other dominant surnames in Corinth are Dlamini Sibalukhulu, Dlamini Thungwana, Dlamini Mzizi, Mbhele, Zondi. The Zelemu genealogy is evident in this village with all the Didi houses. There is Didi Zili, Didi Kabha, Didi Somakahle, Didi Mandoda, Didi Msali, and in the nearby Luphongolo village, there is also Didi Qulu and Didi Mazaka in another village called eThonjeni. All these Zelemu (Didi) houses on citing their clan names (izithakazelo) they mention Didi, Khalimeshe, Vebi, and Wabani. This is evident that all the villages of Emtshibeni and its surroundings were born out of the descendants of King Zelemu of King Lufulwenja.
